What is Ajikas? (ah-GEE-kaas)

The music of Ajikas is inspired by the living, ancient world in which we live. Life instills in me an awe and great love for all of creation and the ineffable space within which it plays. My hope is that I can share something of the impact that the mystery I see all around and within has had on me, to inspire others as others have inspired me. I find this mystery is nothing other than our heart, our health and our way of being in the world.

I have no race
I make the sensations of body my race

I make allowance of will my family

I make the enjoyment of others my culture

I make the flowing of the river my tradition

I have no territory
I make the still point of awareness my territory

I have no authority
I make ‘that it is’ my authority

I have no ambition
I make authenticity my ambition

I have no wealth
I make acceptance my wealth

I have no taboo
I make belief in belief my taboo

I have no religion
I make appreciation my religion

I have no creed
I make this moment my creed
